This page lists off sources that I used for research while writing this blog. These include general sources that pertain to the entire Pokémon franchise, TCG-specific sources that cater mainly to competitive-minded players, and some of my favorite YouTube channels featuring TCG discussion and gameplay.



General sources:

  • Bulbapedia - The most popular fan-maintained wiki for everything Pokémon.
  • Pojo - An ancient website featuring Pokémon content from the 90s and '00s.
TCG-specific sources
YouTube channels:
  • Ruby Retro - Has a history series detailing the beginnings of the TCG.
  • Ptcgradio - Covers the impact of every English set up to gen 5.
  • Holon Phantom - Modern gameplay of retro formats.
  • Old Rod - Modern reviews of the first few TCG sets.
  • Ogrehvnds - Solid breakdown of the modern Base-Fossil meta.
